MASCULINE ALLURE

Come ho già scritto nei precedenti post, quest’anno in occasione della MFW, ho scelto di indossare outfit sobri, cool e per nulla appariscenti. Chi mi segue sa perfettamente che adoro “trasformarmi”, sperimentare nuovi mood e vedermi sempre diversa. Su questo non ho proprio cambiato idea (e credo di non farlo mai), ma preferisco “dedicare” questi  (come li chiamo io) “outfit pazzi” solo ed esclusivamente a shooting fotografici. Non trovo per nulla necessario e indispensabile  andare in giro e doversi per forza farsi notare con look  assurdi e ridicoli. In generale c’è – dal mio punto di vista – un forte desiderio di pulizia. Un ritorno a volumi e linee essenziali. La voglia probabilmente di “ritrovare quell’IO perduto”. Anche in quest’outfit -come in quello precedente-, ho voluto dare un’impronta quasi rigorosa ed essenziale. Ma sempre e comunque ironica e glam. Un look dall’allure tendenzialmente maschile, con equilibrati richiami agli anni ’80 ed accenti futuristici. Ho volutamente  “osato” con l’accostamento dei colori in contrasto blu cina e nero,  forse apparentemente azzardato, ma m’incuriosiva e divertiva l’idea 😉

As I have already written in past posts, in occasion of the MFW this year, I decided to wear sober, cool and inconspicuous outfits. Those who follow me, know that I adore to “transform” myself, experimenting with new moods and seeing myself continuously different. I haven’t changed my mind on this point of view (and I probably never will), but I prefer to “dedicate” these  “crazy outfits” (as I call them) to purely photographic shoots. I don’t particularly find it necessary or indispensable to go around to show oneself off with absurd and ridiculous looks. From my point of view, there is a huge need of a clean-up. A return to volume and clean cut lines. A desire to probably find that “lost ME”. In this outfit, as well as the last one, I wanted to give a rigorous and essential print. But always with a hint of irony and glam. A basically masculine allure look with an 80’s recall and some futuristic touches. I voluntarily “dared” with the combination of colours, contrasting China blue and black, maybe risky, but the idea seemed fun and intrigued me 😉

Oggi, in occasione del primo giorno della MFW, ho scelto un outfit sobrio, discreto, cool, divertente al punto giusto e soprattutto comodo per andare in giro. Ho voluto evitare eccessi, e tutto ciò che risulta troppo appariscente, vistoso e al limite del ridicolo. Probabilmente, anzi sicuramente poco interessante per i  fotografi, a caccia di “cose strambe”,  che aspettano di immortalarti prima o dopo le sfilate. Credetemi, appositamente per questo motivo ho scelto un outfit che non da minimamente all’occhio. In memoria ai quei  mitici look total black che si sceglievano anni e anni fa quando si andava a vedere (veramente) e a STUDIARE le sfilate. Erano anni nei quali apparire, primeggiare, farsi notare era decisamente OUT!  Una sorte di ribellione? Assolutamente no! Semplicemente sono solo stanca ed estremamente annoiata di tutti questi ridicoli, inutili e assurdi eccessi che si vedono in giro. Ci sono mille modi per essere originali e “diversi”.

Today, in occassion of the first day of MFW, I chose a simple, discreet, cool, fun but more importantly comfortable outfit to go around in. I wanted to avoid being excessive and ostentatious, flashy and on the verge of ridiculous. Probably, actually most definately, my outfit was of little interest to photographers on the lookout for “weird things”, just waiting to snap before and after the shows. Believe me, this is why I specifically chose an outfit which wouldn’t catch the eye. In memory of those totally black outfits which we would choose years and years ago when we would  (truly) go the shows and STUDY them. Those were the years in which making an impression, excel, be noticed was decisively OUT! A sort of rebellion? Absolutely not! I’m simply tired and extremely bored of all these ridiculous, useless and absurd excesses that you see around. There are a thousand different ways to be original and “different”.

A DESIRE FOR BLACK AND WHITE

Una vaga ispirazione al celebre film Moonwalker di Micheal Jackson, la voglia di foto in bianco e nero. Look creato con pezzi scelti quasi a “caso”, nulla di eccessivamente studiato e programmato. Era un fresco sabato mattina… e io avevo semplicemente voglia di “vedermi così”.

Vaguely inspired by Michael Jackson’s well-known film Moonwalker, and the strong desire to take black and white photos. A look almost created by “chance”, nothing particularly researched or even programmed. It was a fresh Saturday morning… and I simply wanted to “see myself” in this way.

VERSO IL FUTURO

Cercavo e volevo qualcosa che mi proiettasse -a modo mio- verso il futuro. Quel futuro un pò tenebroso, misterioso e affascinante. Un look concettuale, contemporaneo e femminile; privo di ostentazioni ed esibizioni, alla profonda ricerca della “verità” e della vera essenza. In queste foto mi sono letteralmente immersa in “quel qualcosa” lontano dal tempo. Un futuro che dentro di me è vivo. Vicino. Presente e reale.

I was looking for and wanted something that would project me towards the future, but in my own interpretation. That rather dark, mysterious and fascinating future. A conceptual, contemporary and feminine look; devoid of any ostentation and in search of “truth” and true essence. In these photos I literally plunged myself into “that something” far from time. A future which is alive inside me. Near. Present and real.

Un’ outfit dallo spirito decisamente bon-ton, “fresco e pulito”. Delizioso l’ abito azzurro  di Stefanel in cotone pettinato, sobrio, dalla linea morbida e leggera. Un tocco optical-geometrico con la praticissima, versatile e super cool G3 di Gabs ; la borsa che a seconda delle necessità si trasforma in tre diversi modelli (A-I 2013-14). A completare il look; maxi occhiali, giocosi bijoux e sandali nude. Una perfetta armonia di colori che adoro e “che  fanno” tanto estate chic 😉

An outfit with a decisively bon-ton, “fresh and clean” spirit. The adorable brushed cotton Stefanel sky blue dress is plain with soft lines. An optical-geometric touch is given by the versatile, practical and super cool G3 bag by Gabs; a bag which according to the situation transforms itself into three different models (A-F 2013-14). To complete the look are the maxi sunglasses, playful bijoux and nude coloured sandals. A perfect harmony of colours that I simply adore and that “make” the summer extremely chic 😉
