GAZEL MULTICOLOR COAT

Il meraviglioso cappotto multicolor dallo spirito  folck chic firmato Gazel, è in assoluto il fulcro dell’outfit. Abbinare tutto il resto e creare un look divertente e glam è stato abbastanza facile.  Qualche bijoux colorato, ankle  boots in tessuto open toe viola e shopping in pvc nera. Sotto il cappotto ( non si vede) un semplicissimo mini dress in lana con collo ad anello. Nonostante ci siano davvero tantissimi colori, il nero riesce  a smorzare e donare il giusto equilibrio all’intero look… 😉

This fabulous Gazel multicoloured coat is rather folk, and definately the main feature of the outfit. To add all the rest and create a fun and glam look was quite easy. A few coloured bijoux, purple open-toed fabric ankle boots and a black pvc shopping bag. Under the coat (which you can’t see) a plain woolen mini dress. Even though there are alot of colours, the black manages to soften and give balance to the entire outfit… 😉

THANKS TO LEROCK

MY LEROCK @ LEROCK FASHION SHOW FALL/WINTER 2013

Questo l’outfit che ho deciso di indossare per la presentazione della  nuova collezione autunno-inverno 2013 Lerock, svoltasi sabato 12 gennaio a Ferrara nell’incantevole castello Estense di origine normanna.

Il tutto è partito dal jeans skinny nero con inserti in pelle, Lerock. Un look da giorno casual-chic con accenti rock. Ho voluto “giocare” con pochi pezzi, originali e glam. Mi piace tantissimo l’abbinamento del rosso e nero, lo trovo facile, versatile e adattabile a tanti momenti e occasioni della giornata. Il mini cardigan stampato, interamente realizzato con micro paillettes è del  ricercatissimo brand 28.5. La tracolla in pelle realizzata a mano, made in Italy, è di Salar. In realtà nasconde un segreto, che purtroppo non ho avuto modo di fotografare e farvi vedere: la “magica” borsetta si illumina al buio. L’effetto è davvero strepitoso, ve lo garantisco! La cloche (in stile anni ’30) dona al look quel giusto tocco retrò che non guasta mai! Per finire qualche bijoux (tra i quali il mio ormai inseparabile bracciale multi giri “Poseidone” di Gioielli La Fata). Gli ankle boots scamosciati con dettagli di borchie ton sur ton di Sam Edelman  donano al look “quel pizzico di rock”, che nei miei outfit non può proprio mancare 😉

This is the outfit that I chose to wear for the presentation of the new Lerock autumn-winter 2013 collection, which took place on Saturday 13th January in Ferrara in the enchanting Estense Castle, of Norman origins.

Everything started off with the skinny and leather Lerock jeans. A casual-chic daytime look but with some rock elements. I wanted to “play” with just a few, original and glam pieces. I love to match black and red, as I find it easy, versatile and apt for many moments and occassions during the day. The printed mini cardigan is made completely with mini sequins and by the sought after brand 28.5. The handmade bag with strap is made in Italy by Salar. It actually hides a secret, which unfortnately I couldn’t photograph in order to show you: the “magical” bag lights up in the dark. It’s truly amazing, I guarantee it! The 1930’s style cloche gives the look a retrò touch which never hurts! To finish off a bit of bijoux (amongst which my inseperable spiral “Poseidone” bracelet by Gioielli La Fata.) The suede ankle studded boots ton sur ton by Sam Edelman give the look a “pinch of rock” which in all my outfits cannot go amiss 😉

CHIAROSCURO IN MOVIMENTO

E’ bastato un click in bianco e nero a cambiarmi la giornata! Oggi la mia luce si chiama Dotgirl ed è anche grazie a lei che queste foto hanno preso forma in pochi minuti. La luce che scalda e l’ombra che seduce, il contrasto da vita all’ effetto artistico del “chiaroscuro”.

Ho imparato a “vedere” in bianco e nero tantissimi anni fa in uno studio fotografico di Via Ludovico il Moro a Pavia, quando stampavo in camera oscura su carta Ilford, tra vaschette, liquidi di sviluppo e fissaggio, termometro e pinze. E’ difficile spiegare l’emozione nel veder comparire l’immagine per la prima volta, ma gli scatti di oggi sono stati in grado di
regalare emozioni simili a quelle che si provavano quando si stava chiusi in una stanzina buia. Sì! Si possono riscoprire le stesse sensazioni anche con una reflex digitale. L’importante è non convertire il file a colori in b/n e non applicare ritocchi eccessivi con Photoshop. Con i tempi di posa giusti e la direzione della luce,tutte le imperfezioni spariscono. L’unico consiglio che posso dare è quello di non improvvisarsi fotografi del bianco e nero…non esistono scorciatoie ma solo tanta pratica e pazienza 😉

Ecco le undici sequenze di immagini in bianco e nero dove Dotgirl gioca con la luce e l’ombra, accompagnata dai Gioielli La Fata. Gioielli in argento con pietre dure e swarovski “incollati” al corpo che valorizzano gli effetti vedo-non vedo, che lasciano un messaggio e un nuovo mondo di tendenza da scoprire.

A volte le fotografie vanno oltre l’essere un semplice ricordo…

A black and white snapshot was enough to change my day! Today my light is Dotgirl and it is also thanks to her that these photos have taken on a shape in just a short space of minutes. The light which warms and the shade which seduces, the contrast of life in an artistic “light and shade” effect.

I learnt to “see” in black and white many years ago in a photographic studio in Via Ludovico il Moro in Pavia, when I developed on Ilford paper in the dark room, in between trays, developing fluids and drying, thermometer and pliers. It’s difficult to explain the feelings when the image first appears, but today’s shots were able to give me the same feelings as when I was closed in the darkroom. Yes! You can discover the same emotions even with a digital reflex. The main thing is that you don’t convert the file from colour to b/w and avoid  excessive touching up with Photoshop. With the right amount of posing time and the right amount of light all the imperfections disappear. The only piece of advice I can give is to not improvise yourselves as black and white photographers…there are no shortcuts, but lots of practice and patience 😉

Here are eleven black and white images of Dotgirl in a play of light and shade, wearing La Fata jewels. Silver jewels with gems and Swarovski crystals applied in a see-can’t see effect, which bring forth a message of a new trend to be discovered.

At times photographs go beyond being just a simple memory…
