25 ottobre 2013 Lido di Jesolo. 74° edizione di Miss Italia.

Secondo giorno al Lido di Jesolo per seguire il concorso più discusso e atteso dell’anno: quello appunto di Miss Italia. Tra un impegno e l’altro, il tempo di fotografare un outfit lo si trova sempre. Al mio fianco in questi giorni una mia carissima amica: Ivana. Sarà proprio lei infatti -come ha fatto in queste foto- a fotografarmi e seguirmi nel mondo delle “folli follie” delle Miss… e non solo. Per me è alquanto strano non essere davanti gli occhi e l’obiettivo di Marcella – ahimè, causa impegni lavorativi non è potuta venire- , ma quello che ho notato e che ho trovato decisamente divertente e “diverso”, è come abbia involontariamente “cambiato” certe espressioni. In queste foto, scattate con la luce della foschia mattutina, una “versione” di me un po’ diversa dal solito… Un’outfit ton-sur-ton, “a strati”, cool e indubbiamente dallo spirito street- style, pensato per stare comodamente in giro tutto il giorno, ed essere sempre e comunque “in ordine” 😉

The second day at Lido of Jesolo to follow the most talked of and long awaited competition: Miss Italia. In between one commitment and another, the time to photograph an outfit can always be found. My dear friend Ivana has been by my side during these past few days. It will in fact be her – as she has done in these photos – to follow and photograph me in this “mad” world of the Miss… but not only. For me it’s rather strange not having Marcella in front of the camera-lense – she sadly couldn’t make it for work commitments – but what I have noticed and found is that I found it particularly fun and “different” and how I involuntarily “changed” certain expressions. In these photos, shot with the morning hazy sunlight, a different “version” of the usual me… a ton-sur-ton outfit, “layered”, cool and undoubtedly with a street-style spirit, thought up in order to be comfortable when around all day long, but always be “presentable” 😉

PSYCHEDELIC MOOD

La parola psichedelico, ci fa immediatamente tornare indietro nel tempo, ricordandoci la musica rock-psicadelica degli anni sessanta-settanta , sviluppatasi contemporaneamente negli Stati Uniti e in Gran Bretagna. Per quest’outfit, mi sono proprio ispirata a quel periodo. Le sensazioni e le percezioni sono alterate da qualcosa di indefinibile, qualcosa profondamente custodito nella psiche. I colori sono il punto di forza, “colori mentali”, quasi come un sogno..un sogno psichedelico che improvvisamente affiora e si materializza.

The word psychedelic immediately takes us back in time, evoking memories of rock-psychedelic music from the sixties and seventies, which developed at the same time in both Great Britain and the United States. For this outfit, I inspired myself to this period. The sensations and perceptions are altered by something indefinable, something deeply gaurded by the pysche. The colours are the point of strength, “mental colours”, as though they were a dream..a psychedelic dream which suddenly blossoms and becomes real.

Nuance naturali e delicate, “tocchi d’oro”, il tutto impreziosito da sobri dettagli gioiello come le mini borchie del giubbotto smanicato effetto “used” e i ricami di paillettes sui sandali T pump. Un look che definirei rock-bohemienne che si fonde perfettamente con i colori delle pareti della meravigliosa Casa del Manzoni 😉

Natural and delicate nuance, a touch of gold and it is all embellished with small details like the mini studs on the sleeveless “used-effect” jacket and the embroidery of sequins on the T pump sandals. A look that I’d define as rock-bohemian which blends in perfectly with the colours of the walls at the magnificent Casa del Manzoni 😉

KAMA SESSO & DESIGN @ LA TRIENNALE MILANO

Triennale Design Museum presenta KAMA. Sesso e design. Una grande mostra il cui scopo e la volontà principali, sono quelli di “rivedere” attraverso il design il vero rapporto tra eros e progetto. Non è una mostra “a luci rosse” sull’erotismo, Kama (il dio indiano del piacere sessuale e del desiderio) da una nuova vita a soggetti e oggetti erotici per ideare progetti tra l’ironico e il dissacratorio che rimandano alla sfera sessuale. Cuore della mostra è una rassegna, a cura di Silvana Annicchiarico che rintraccia radici storiche, mitiche e antropologiche per arrivare fino ai giorni nostri, con oltre 200 fra reperti archeologici, disegni, fotografie, oggetti d’uso e opere di artisti e designer internazionali.

La società in cui viviamo, apparentemente moderna e contemporanea, considera purtroppo ancora tabù determinati argomenti, pregiudizi culturali manifestate fortementi da regole e condizionamenti. KAMA prova a fare i conti con uno dei fantasmi più esasperati, ma al contempo più rimossi, della contemporaneità.

The Triennale Design Museum presents KAMA. Sex and design. A big exhibition whose aim and will is that to “re-see” via the use of design, the true relationship between eros and project. It is not a “red light” erotic display. Kama (the Indian God of sexual pleasure) gives a new life to subjects and erotic objects in order to create projects between the ironic and the desecration which send us right into the sexual world. The heart of the show is a review, by Silvana Annicchiarico who retraces historic roots, both mythical and anthropological, right through to our times, with over 200 archeological findings, drawings, photographs, and artists and international designers usable objectsand works of art.

The society in which we live, which is apparently modern and contemporary, still considers certain topics as tabu, cultural preconceptions strongly reinforced by rules and influences. KAMA tries to face these everlasting ghosts, but which are forever present in our contemporary society.

Un mix apparentemente stravagante quello che ho scelto per quest’outfit. Ho infatti voluto “giocare” con due stili completamente opposti ( bon-ton e rock) ma che possono assolutamente trovare un loro equilibrio se pensati e studiati nella giusta maniera. Un’acconciatura decisamente bon-ton, come il cappotto con cinturino e l’abitino con dettagli gioiello sul collo ed elastico in vita. Make-up e sandali tartan borchiati, sono assolutamente e decisamente rock. I bracciali che ho scelto in rosso e oro, danno invece quel giusto tocco natalizio, ideale per questo periodo 🙂

Questa la mia personale versione/interpretazione del bon-rock style 😉

I chose an extravagant mix for this outfit. Infact I wanted to “play” with two completely opposite styles (bon-ton and rock) which when studied and contemplated, can find their own equilibrium together. A decisively bon-ton hairstyle, as the coat with a belt and the dress with the jewelled neckline and elaticated waist. Make-up and studded tartan sandals are absolutely decisively rock. The red and gold bracelets on the other hand give the right Christmas touch which is ideal for this season.

This is my personal version and interpretation of a bon-rock style 😉
