Secondo  giorno al Lido di Jesolo per seguire il concorso più discusso e atteso dell’anno: quello appunto di Miss Italia. Tra un impegno e l’altro, il tempo di fotografare un outfit  lo si trova sempre. Al mio fianco in questi giorni una mia carissima amica: Ivana. Sarà proprio lei infatti -come ha fatto in queste foto- a fotografarmi e seguirmi nel mondo delle “folli follie” delle Miss… e non solo. Per me è alquanto strano non essere davanti gli occhi e l’obiettivo di Marcella – ahimè, causa impegni lavorativi non è potuta venire- , ma quello che ho notato e che ho trovato decisamente divertente  e “diverso”, è come abbia involontariamente “cambiato” certe espressioni. In queste foto, scattate con la luce della foschia mattutina, una “versione” di me un po’ diversa dal solito… Un’outfit  ton-sur-ton,  “a strati”, cool e indubbiamente dallo spirito street- style, pensato  per  stare comodamente in giro tutto il giorno, ed essere sempre  e comunque “in ordine” 😉

The second day at Lido of Jesolo to follow the most talked of and long awaited competition: Miss Italia. In between one commitment and another, the time to photograph an outfit can always be found. My dear friend Ivana has been by my side during these past few days. It will in fact be her – as she has done in these photos – to follow and photograph me in this “mad” world of the Miss… but not only. For me it’s rather strange not having Marcella in front of the camera-lense – she sadly couldn’t make it for work commitments – but what I have noticed and found is that I found it particularly fun and “different” and how I involuntarily “changed” certain expressions. In these photos, shot with the morning hazy sunlight, a different “version” of the usual me… a ton-sur-ton outfit, “layered”, cool and undoubtedly with a street-style spirit, thought up in order to be comfortable when around all day long, but always be “presentable” 😉

UN PO’ INDIE, UN PO’ COOL, E TANTO ME

Un’outfit decisamente mix&match, nel quale una serie di stili si assemblano e si sposano armoniosamente insieme. Un po’ etnico, un po’ rock, e un po’ indie. Sperimentare, provare, giocare, inventare. Sempre! Adoro le gonne lunghe le trovo assolutamente chic e cool. Ideali per questa stagione – “via di mezzo”-, facili da interpretare, rappresentano uno di quei pezzi must che non dovrebbero mai mancare nel nostro armadio. Un look dai colori caldi e “morbidi”. Un paesaggio e un’atmosfera decisamente autunnale rendono quest’outfit particolarmente magico e quasi “surreale”.

A decisively mix&match outfit in which a selection of styles come together and unite harmoniously together. A little ethnic, a little rock, a little indie. Experimenting, trying, playing, inventing. Always! I adore long skirts and I find them absolutely chic and cool. So ideal for this season – an “in between” – easy to interpret and they represent one of those must-have pieces that should never be missing from ones wardrobe. A look with warm and “soft” colours. A backdrop and very autumn atmosphere makes this outfit particularly magical and almost “surreal”.

Ispirazioni romantiche e colori pastello per il primo total look Zara A-I 2013-14 che ho scelto di indossare. Un’outfit un pò romantico, un po’ country e con chiari accenti metropolitani. Adoro il contrasto e l’abbinamento del blazer in principe di galles con gli shorts di seta caratterizzati da micro stampa floreale e dettagli in pizzo. Gli ankle boots donano al look quel giusto “tocco strong”. Luminosissima, chic e glam, la  meravigliosa collana Chandelier 😉

Romantic inspiration and pastel colours are the choice for my first total Zara A-W 2013-14 look. An outfit which is a little romantic, a little country and with some hints of metropolitan. I adore the contrast and the combination of the Prince of Wales blazer with the silk, flowery, lace shorts. The ankle boots give the look that “string touch”. The magnificent Chandelier necklace is bright, chic and glam 😉

Questo il terzo e ultimo outfit che ho scelto di indossare durante la scorsa MFM. Come per gli altri due, ho prediletto, comodità  e sobrietà. Uno stile rock “sdrammatizzato” da accenti chic e cool: i pantaloni palazzo (pezzo must di questa stagione)  in tulle stretch e la giacca di pelle con rouche “effetto san gallo”. A rendere il look più spiritoso e divertente, la tracolla bicolor in neoprene con catena silver dell’ormai lanciatissimo e super modaiolo brand Leghilà 😉

This is the third and last outfit that I chose to wear during last week’s MFM. Just like the other two, I favoured both comfort and chasteness. A “played down” rock style with chic and cool touches: stretch tulle palazzo trousers (a must have for this season) and a leather jacket with “broiderie anglais” ruffles effect. To make the look a little more fun and witty, I added a two-tone colour neoprene bag with a silver chain from the already super fashionable brand Leghilà 😉

PIN-UP MOOD

Abbiamo scattato queste foto quasi due mesi, ma chissà perché, non siamo riuscite a preparare e pubblicare prima il post. Ma poco importa, visto che il mood scelto è assolutamente un evergreen, uno  di quelli che non passano proprio mai di moda. Procaci, sorridenti, sensuali, bellissime, affascinanti,  ingenue ma soprattutto accativanti  e biricchine. Sto parlando di coloro che  durante la seconda guerra mondiale, fecero letteralmente impazzire l’esercito americano (e non solo): le pin-up. Ragazze sinuose, dalle curve morbide, incantatrici e dive naturali. Il loro look era ben studiato e ricercato e giocava un ruolo fondamentale nel “vedo-non-vedo”. La pin up non doveva esageratamente mostrarsi, anzi doveva coprire le “parti proibite”, scoprendole maliziosamente e quasi ingenuamente. Io non ho di certo le caratteristiche da vera pin-up, ma ho cercato di immedesimarmi più che potevo cercando di immergermi totalmente in quegli anni. Un total look di Fiorucci e una perfetta location hanno contribuito a far risaltare il tutto al meglio. Proprio come immaginavo che fosse. Per la seconda volta abbiamo scelto il Peach Pit Bakery & Restaurant. Decisamente in stile americano, nasce ispirandosi alla famosa serie tv Beverly Hills 90210. Ogni cosa all’interno del locale è stata perfettamente ricreata seguendo le tradizioni americane. Arredamento, colori, ricette e bevande, sono stati studiati per portare da noi un pizzico di quella magica atmosfera 100% USA.

We took these photos almost two months ago, but who knows why we were unable to get them ready or even publish the post. But it doesn’t really matter, seeing that the mood chosen is evergreen, one of those that never goes out of fashion. Provocative, cheerful, sensual, beautiful, charming, naive but above all captivating and mischievous. I’m speaking of those, who during the second world war, literally made not only the American army go wild: the sinuous pin-up girls, with soft curves, enchantresses and natural divas. Their look was well studied and played a fundamental role in their “see don’t see”. The pin-up girl didn’t necessarily have to expose herself, in fact she had to cover up her “private parts”, revealing them naughtily and almost naively. I certainly don’t have the pin-up qualities, but I tried to put myself in their shoes as best I could, trying to completely throw myself back into those years. A total Fiorucci look and a perfect location helped make everything stand out at its best. Just as I had imagined. For a second time we chose the Peach Pit Bakery & Restaurant. In true American style, it was inspired from the TV series Beverly Hills 90210. Everything inside the place was perfectly recreated following the American traditions. Furnishings, colours, recipies and drinks were all brought over in order for us to taste the 100% American magical atmosphere.
