Per la designer cagliaritana Giorgia Bistrusso, il vero lusso consiste nell’essere unici. Il vero lusso, supera il “classico e il comune” concetto di fashion. Dopo aver conseguito il diploma in fashion design presso l’Università di Firenze e dopo una serie di importanti collaborazioni con noti brand, Giorgia decide di creare una sua collezione, avviando i marchi Love&Sea e Bitrusso. Le sue ispirazioni sono quelle della propria terra e dei ricordi d’infanzia. Non è raro trovare infatti ni suoi preziosi manufatti, i richiami a motivi artistici dei tessuti di lino o dei tappeti fatti a mano. Esclusività, qualità, ricerca, artigianalità, design, memoria e un inebriante profumo di storie e tradizioni antiche; il tutto rivisitato e reinterpretato in un’originalissima chiave moderna dallo stile retrò. E’ il sughero il materiale principe delle sue creazioni. Il sughero veste con estrema ricerca ed eleganza la vastissima gamma di articoli di pelletteria di giorgia, esprimendosi in favolose forme geometriche .Triangoli, rombi, quadri, sono i micro elementi che compongono le fantasie delle maglie, riprendendo i motivi a losanga delle antichissime ceramiche sarde. I filati delle maglie sono tinte naturalmente mediante preziose tecniche di colorazioni. Natura e design; è questo il binomio che continua a cercare e a sperimentare la giovane designer. For the designer Giorgia Bistrusso from Cagliari, luxury exists in being unique. True luxury goes beyond the “classic and normal” concept of fashion. After having received her diploma in fashion design at the University of Florence and after a series of important collaborations with well known brands, Giorgia decides to create her very own collection, giving life to the brands Love&Sea and Bitrusso. Her inspirations are drawn from her land and childhood memories. It’s not unusual to find in her works touches of embroidery and artistic recalls from linen and handmade carpets. Exclusivity, quality, research, craftsmanship, design, memory and an exciting feel of history and antique traditions; it is all revisited and reinterpreted in an original modern key with a retrò style. Cork is the principle material in her works. The cork is used with such elegance on her vast range of leather products, expressing itself in magnificent geometric shapes. Triangles, rhombuse’, squares are the small details that create the fantasy of the designs, recalling the diamond motifs of the ancient Sardinian ceramics. The threads in the jumpers are delicately coloured. Nature and design; this is the duo that the designer continues to look for and experiment with. Bistrusso: the “new luxury” rich and intense with history, art and design.
