Ed eccoci al primo evento della nuova stagione da Pier Openspace che si apre con la presentazione del nuovo romanzo di Vladimir Luxuria. Nonostante i tempi ristretti, Vladi mi ha concesso una breve intervista: ovviamente il tema la moda!

And here we are at the first event of the new season at Pier Openspace, which opens up with the presentation of Vladimir Luxuria’s new novel. Despite her busy schedule, Vladi allowed me a quick interview: obviously based on fashion!

Che stile segui?

Sono transgenica, mi piace cambiare, passo da uno stile all’altro a secondo dell’umore e delle occasioni. Barbara, mia sorella mi segue molto, è lei a guidarmi nelle scelte del mio look.

Ti ritieni una “fashion victim”?

Assolutamente no, la moda deve essere un piacere, non un dovere. L’accessorio super fashion appena uscito limited edition può anche aspettare. Adoro mischiare i capi, anche datati e reinterpretarli a modo mio.

Hai uno stilista preferito?

Sono stata vestita da tanti stilisti che mi piacciono molto: Alessandro dell’Acqua, Giuliano Fujiwara, Luigi Borbone.

L’abito che indossi oggi?

L’ho acquistato in un sexy shop in Germania.

What type of fashion style do you follow?

I am transgenic, I like to change, I pass from one style to another, depending on the occassion and my mood. My sister Barbara follows me around alot and she is the person who guides me in my choice of look.

Do you consider yourself a “fashion victim”?

Absolutely not, fashion must be a pleasure, not a MUST. The latest limited edition accessory can wait. I like to mix different outfits, even dated ones and reinterpret them in my own way.

Do you have a favourite designer?

I have worn a variety of designer dresses which I like very much: Alessandro dell’Acqua, Giuliano Fujiwara, Luigi Borbone.

Tell us about the dress you’re wearing today?

I bought it in a sexy shop in Germany.

Titolo ispirato al nome dello storico locale omosessuale berlinese chiuso dai nazisti dopo la promulgazione del Paragraph 175 che nel 1933 consegnò migliaia di gay alle carceri e ai lager – è soprattutto un viaggio nella memoria.

Eldorado, Vladimir Luxuria’s first novel.

The inspiration of the title comes from the famous Berlin homosexual bar which was closed by the nazi’s after the promulgation of Paragragh 175 which saw thousands of gays transported to prisons and lagers in 1933 – and more importantly it’s a trip down memory lane.
