Nel 1920 Coco è diventata Mademoiselle. Frequenta artisti come Cocteau, Stravinski, Diaghilev, Ravel e Picasso, viaggia a Venezia, in Inghilterra, incontra il Granduca Dimitri e il Duca di Westminster. Mademoiselle scopre i fasti slavi e bizantini, il tweed e crea il profumo N°5, il tubino nero e i bijoux fantasia.
Siamo nel periodo che precede la Seconda Guerra Mondiale: è il trionfo, tutti vogliono vestire CHANEL, ma quando viene dichiarata la guerra Mademoiselle è costretta a chiudere la Maison di rue Cambon.
In 1920 Coco became Mademoiselle. She frequented artists such as Cocteau, Stravinsky, Diaghilev, Ravel and Picasso, noblemen like the Grand Duke Dmitri and the Duke of Westminster, and she travelled to Venice and England… She discovered Byzantine and Slavic feasts, the fabric tweed and she created Chanel N°5, the little black dress and costume jewellery.
The brand was a triumph and everyone wanted a slice of CHANEL, but then World War Two broke out and Mademoiselle closed rue Cambon.
