PLAYING AT THE BEACH WITH COLMAR ORIGINALS

Una mattina di autentico relax e divertimento: quella che il mare ha regalato a Ludo, vale a dire il meraviglioso Ludovico, mio “temibile” (si dice per dire…) figlio, qualche giorno fa. Sole, giochi, e una perfetta brezza marina primaverile. Per una tale occasione c’era assoluto bisogno di outfit comodi, pratici e “a prova di bimbo”. Colmar Originals (brand per eccellenza legato allo sport e alla natura), era proprio quello che faceva al caso nostro. Ideali le giacche di nylon, ultraleggere, funzionali, colorate e confortevoli. Entrambe con cappuccio e fodera in contrasto. Assolutamente un must la canotta in morbidissimo jersey ( per me) e la t-shirt con stampa logo per Ludo.

Tutto è iniziato con una normalissima passeggiata in riva al mare, che poi si è trasformata in salti, schizzi d’acqua e una corsa da perdere il fiato. Non potevano mancare le bolle di sapone e qualche tiro a calcio.

Pochissime  le “pose fotografiche” in questo post. Tutto è naturale, spontaneo, vero e autentico. Come una mamma e suo figlio.

A morning of sheer relax and fun, which is what the seaside gave to Ludo, my wonderful “terrible”, so to say, son. Sun, games and a perfect spring breeze. A comfortable outfit was necessary for such an occassion, practical and “child-proof”. Colmar Originals (sport and nature brand by excellence) is exactly what was needed. The nylon, lightweight, functional, colourful and comfortable jackets were ideal. Both with hoods and contrasting lining. A soft jersey tank-top was a must (for me) and the logo printed t-shirt for Ludo.

It all started off with a simple walk along the shore, which then turned into jumps, splashes and a breathless race. Bubbles and a few kicks with the football couldn’t go amiss.

There are few “photographic poses” in this post. Everything is so natural, spontaneous and real. Just like a mummy and her son.

WEARING OVS F4YG DESIGNED BY TRACEY WONG

OVS ci stupisce ancora una volta, con un nuova ed entusiasmante idea. Si chiama F4YG il progetto innovativo che ha lo scopo di contribuire concretamente allo sviluppo della moda investendo su quelli che saranno i giovani designer “del futuro”.

Debutta Tracey Wong, studentessa della nota Central Saint Martins Collage of Arts and design di Londra. Tutor d’eccezione è il sensazionale stilista inglese Matthew Williamson che ha selezionato la giovane olandese tra molti candidati del corso. La capsule collection, composta da 17 pezzi, ha fatto la sua prima apparizione il 20 aprile, in una selezione di store Ovs in Italia e all’estero ma acquistabile anche on line sul sito ovs.it

Forse un po’ inusuale e stravagante l’interpretazione che ho voluto dare ai capi che ho scelto di indossare. Ma il mood è decisamente contemporaneo, fresco e giovane e rispecchia perfettamente lo stile della bellissima designer.

OVS surprises us once more with a new and enthusiastic idea. It’s called F4YG, an innovative programme with the aim of contributing to the development of fashion, by investing on the young designers of the future.

Tracey Wong debuts, a student at the well-known Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London. Matthew Williamson, exceptional tutor and sensational stylist selected the young Dutch student amongst many candidates. The capsule collection, made up of 17 pieces, made its first appearance on the 17th of April, in a selection of OVS stores in Italy and abroad, as well as online on the OVS website.

I wanted to give the clothes I chose to wear a little unusual and extravagant touch. But the mood is decisively contemporary, fresh and young and perfectly mirrors the style of this beautiful designer.

FEATHERS AND BOOKS

Stavolta una location davvero affascinante ha fatto da cornice a questo outfit  “pazzamente cool”.  In realtà quel giorno ci trovavamo li per un appuntamento, ma poi  visto la meraviglia di posto (che ci ha particolarmente ispirate), abbiamo chiesto se potevamo “approfittarne” per scattare qualche foto. La biblioteca della moda, un vero paradiso per tutti gli addetti ai lavori e non solo. Un grande archivio privato nel quale poter consultare, ma anche vendere o acquistare libri, riviste, stampe, quaderni di tendenza dal 1850 a oggi.

“Piume e libri”, così ho voluto chiamare questo post. Look decisamente street style, “strambo e frizzante”, ma che si fonde perfettamente con l’arredamento raffinato ed elegante che lo rappresenta.

This time a fascinating location was the set for this “crazily cool” outfit. To be honest, we found ourselves there that day because we had an appointment, but then I saw the wonders of the place (which immensely inspired us) and we asked if we could take advantage and snap a few photos. The fashion library, a true paradise for its workers, but not only for them. An immense archive in which to look up, but also buy and sell books, magazines, newspapers, trendy books from 1850 up until today.

“Feathers and books” is what I wanted to call this post. A decisively street style look, eccentric and fizzy, but which blends in perfectly with the elegant and sophisticated furniture.

MY OUTFIT FOR THE VANITY FAIR SMASHBOX PARTY

Un’ occasione davvero speciale, il meraviglioso party che Vanity Fair ha organizzato per festeggiare l’arrivo in Italia di Smashbox (notissimo make-up amato dalle Celebrities di Hollywood). Sull’invito c’era scritto: dress code long dress o in alternativa cocktail dress. Non capita proprio tutti i giorni di indossare un abito lungo. Per questo motivo ho deciso che era assolutamente l’occasione giusta per poter finalmente sfoggiare un favoloso long dress.

Nonostante l’abito fosse decisamente long e con uno spacco super impegnativo, ho fatto del mio meglio per non essere impacciata e sembrare più disinvolta possibile. E’ stato divertente immedesimarsi nel ruolo di star hollywoodiana. Come in un meraviglioso sogno, un sogno volato via in un batter d’occhio ma assolutamente prezioso e indimenticabile.

The fabulous party organised by Vanity Fair to celebrate the arrival of Smashbox to Italy (well-known make-up much loved by the Hollywood celebrities) was a truly special occassion. On the invitation was written: dress code long dress or cocktail dress. You don’t get to wear a long dress everyday. It is for this reason that I decided that it was the perfect occassion to fnally wear a beautful long dress.

Even though the dress was long with an extremely prominent split, I tried my best not to be clumsy and to appear as nonchalant as possible. It was fun putting myself in the shoes of a hollywood star. As though in a fabulous dream, the dream flew by in a split second, but truly unforgettable and exquisite.
