Milano, 22 marzo 2012. Nel cuore della Milano della moda, fra via Senato e via della Spiga, all’nterno del noto e storico Carlton Hotel Baglioni c’e’ un piccolo e prezioso negozio dal sapore parigino, dove lo stile incontra la ricercatezza e la qualità tutta made in Italy.
Amaranto Boutique nasce dall’idea di coniugare la ricerca di uno stile, assolutamente personale e pieno di carattere, alla creatività e alla ventata di novità che i nuovi stilisti emergenti portano alla moda. Ed e’ proprio qui che ieri ho avuto la bellissima oppurtunità di poter scegliere due outfit e interpretarli a modo mio. Ovviamente tantissime le cose belle, ma decidere non e’ stato cosi’ difficile. La mia idea era quella di scegliere abiti eleganti e nello stesso tempo grintosi , per poi dargli quel tocco rock che mi rappresenta , con accessori, make-up e acconciatura. Un tubino di raso bicolore con dettagli in pizzo e uno smoking bianco ( mi è sempre piaciuta l’idea di poterne possedere uno, e quello era proprio “il mio” !) Non ho voluto provare niente, decisa e soddisfatta per quello che avevo scelto, mi sono subito diretta nella principesca suite dove ad aspettarmi c’era tutto lo staff. Sono stata la prima ad “inaugurare” questa giornata, dopo di me altre fortunate blogger si sono godute questa bellissima esperienza !..
Step 1: trucco; occhi smoking labbra naturali. (decisione presa insieme alla make-up artist)
Step 2: capelli; ovviamente very rock look 🙂 !
Step 3: vestirmi e mettermi in posa per le foto. Ero a mio agio, mi sono subito lasciata andare, e cosi’ ho iniziato a “giocare”… Bhè e’ stato veramente divertente 🙂
Si sa, tutte le cose belle finiscono presto, il tempo è letteralmente volato, quasi 3 ore passate li, mi sembrava impossibile!
Le persone conosciute sono state veramente carine, disponibili e gentili, la location da favola, e la splendida giornata ha reso il tutto ancora piu bello.

Milano, 22nd March 2012. In the heart of Milan, between Via Senato and Via della Spiga, inside the well-known and very old Hotel Baglioni, is a small, treasured shop with Parisian taste, where style meets sophistication and the sought after Made in Italy quality.  
Amaranto Boutique was born from the idea of joining the sophistication of one style, absolutely personal and full of character, to the creativity and new ideas that new emerging stylists bring to fashion. And it is right here that yesterday I had the opportunity of choosing two outfits and interpreting them as I desired. Obviously there were a lot of wonderful clothes, but choosing wasn’t so difficult afterall.  My idea was to choose elegant, yet aggressive clothes and give the outfit a touch of rock which is so me, plus accessories, make-up and hair to top it off.  A two colour satin sheath dress with lace detailing and a white suit (I have always dreamt of owning one, and that one was so “mine” !). I didn’t want to try anything else on. I had decided and was content with my choice. I went straight to the princess suite where all the staff was waiting for me. I was the very first to “inaugurate” this day. After me were the other lucky bloggers who also enjoyed this wonderful experience!
Step 1: make-up. Smoky eyes and natural lips (decision taken with the make-up artist)
Step 2: hair. Obviously a very rock look 🙂 !
Step 3: get dressed.
Step 4: strike a pose and have my photos taken
I was completely at ease and I let myself go….it was really fun  🙂
As we all know, all good things must come to an end. Time literally flew by. I spent 3 hours there, but it didn’t seem possible!
The people I met were all lovely, helpful and kind. The location was a fairytale and the wonderful day made everything just perfect.

I nuovi accessori rirornano a più riprese i motivi iconici della collezione.
Il color block e i toni fluo caratterizzano i sandali realizzati con una maschera frontale in pelle monocromatica o a tre colori, con bordi netti e asimmetrici; da alternare ai modelli con plateau o con tacco convesso, e ai sandali ultra-flat con doppio cinturino alla caviglia.

Colour block and fluo tones characterize the sandals which are created using a frontal mask in monochrome o three colour leather, with sharp and asymmetrical sides. They can be alternated with a plateau or a  convex heel, and also to ultra-flat sandals with a double strap at the ankle.

ACQUA FOR LIFE …LA SFIDA CONTINUA !

Viagrande (Ct) , paese situato sotto le pendici dell’Etna. Un’ acquedotto privato, in un enorme proprietà ricca di vegetazione e alberi da frutta; qui ho passato tanti momenti belli della mia infanzia e, da sempre per vari motivi, ho dato un grandissimo valore a quello che e’ uno dei beni piu’ preziosi che esistano, l’acqua: vera fonte di vita. E’qui che ho voluto dedicare il post al progetto Acqua For Life indossando la t shirt creata da Giorgio Armani, semplici immagini scattate tra vasche e tubi che distribuiscono acqua nei paesi limitrofi.
Lo scorso giugno Giorgio Armani ha ricevuto una busta dal Ghana. Dentro c’erano dozzine di disegni fatti dai bambini delle comunità aiutate grazie ad Acqua for Life. Il loro modo di scrivere “grazie”, più colorato e molto più personale di quelli a cui siamo abituati, mostrava immagini di vita quotidiana, donne che raccolgono l’acqua dai pozzi appena costruiti, oppure scene di scuola.
In omaggio a queste comunità, Giorgio Armani ha deciso di mettere quei disegni sulle t-shirt, mixandoli con il suo design. Queste t-shirt saranno vendute al pubblico a un prezzo di 60 € in alcuni selezionati negozi Emporio Armani, a partire da Marzo 2012. Il 30% del prezzo di vendita di queste t-shirt sarà destinato a Green Cross International a favore del programma ‘Smart Water for Green Schools’.

Viagrande (Ct) , a village situated on the slopes of Etna’s mountainside. A private aqueduct, in an enormous property full of vegetation and fruit trees; I spent many happy childhood moments here, and since I can remember, for many obvious reasons, I gave a significant value to what is one of the most precious assets that exist: a real fountain of water. This is where I wanted to dedicate the post for the project Acqua for Life, wearing a t-shirt created by Giorgio Armani. Simple photos taken amongst pools and pipes that distribute water to all the surrounding villages.
Last June Giorgio Armani received an envelope from Ghana. Inside were a dozen pictures drawn by children from the communities that had been helped thanks to Acqua for Life. Their way of saying thank you, in a more colourful way and even more personal than what we are often used too. The pictures showed everyday life, women collecting water from the wells just built, or even scenes from school life.
To pay homage to these communities, Giorgio Armani has decided to print these drawings on his t-shirts, mixing them in with his designs. These t-shirts will be sold for €60 in selected Emporio Armani stores, starting from March 2012. 30% of the retail price of these t-shirts will go to Green Cross International in favour of the project “Smart Water for Green Schools”.

After Rome and Naples, in Catania the first City of Taste in Sicily is born. The magnificent Vecchia Dogana is the location, imposing history building just inside the port, and today, an avant-garde building with futuristic design, refurbished harmoniously combining tradition with innovation.  
Right at Etna’s feet, the workshop of flavours, under steel pipes and glass skylights opens. An event specialized in food&beverage which was born from a bet of a private consortium, who decided to focus on the excellence of gastronomy. Just like “Gambero Rosso” who decided to land in Catania with their best chefs and bring emotion aswell as culinary ideas: culinary courses and masters, seminars on healthy eating, meetings and wine tasting, haute cuisine.
