Louis Vuitton rende omaggio al savoir-faire delle proprie collezioni di ready-to-wear e alla creatività del Direttore Artistico, Marc Jacobs, con una mostra curata da Katie Grand intitolata: “Louis Vuitton: The Art of Fashion”.
La mostra fornisce un punto di vista esclusivo sugli universi comunicanti della moda e dell’arte, che si fondono nelle creazioni di Marc Jacobs per Louis Vuitton. Il lavoro compiuto da Katie Grand su più di 70 collezioni permette ai visitatori di riscoprire la costante ricerca di eccellenza, artigianalità, così come l’approccio moderno alla moda di Louis Vuitton.
Per Katie Grand, che ha lavorato a stretto contatto con Marc Jacobs dal 2003, Louis Vuitton ha aperto le porte del proprio archivio storico, mettendo a disposizione abiti, borse e accessori appartenenti a tutte le collezioni dalla prima dell’Autunno-Inverno 1998-1999 fino all’Autunno-Inverno 2011-2012.
Il risultato sono 30 look emblematici creati a partire dai pezzi più significativi delle differenti collezioni, dagli abiti “coiffeuse” ai cappotti e gonne voluminose, che Katie Grand ha mescolato sapientemente per sottolinearne la natura moderna e senza tempo.

Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the savoir-faire of its ready-to-wear collections and to the creativity of the Artistic Director Marc Jacobs with an exhibition closely followed by Katie Grand: “Louis Vuitton: The Art of Fashion”.
The exhibition reveals a unique point of view on the communicating universes of fashion and art, which merge magnificently into Marc Jacobs’ creations for Louis Vuitton. Katie Grand’s project of working on more than 70 collections allows visitors to re-discover Louis Vuitton’s constant quest for excellence, craftsmanship as well as appreciate its modern approach to fashion.
Just for Katie Grand, who has been working closely with Marc Jacobs since 2003 on the fashion shows’ styling, Louis Vuitton opened the doors of its historical archives, thus giving her free access to dresses, bags and accessories from all the Louis Vuitton collections: from the first Fall-Winter 1998-1999  season up to the most recent Fall-Winter 2011-2012 season.
The result consists in 30 symbolic outfits from the most significant pieces of the various collections, from “coiffeuse” dresses to coats and large skirts, which Katie Grand skillfully mixed to highlight a timeless nature and modernity.

With the next S/S 2012 Collection, Ermanno Scervino takes us on a voyage across the India of Rajasthan and of the Maharajas. On distinctions between sporty and couture mellt away in this new collection, one that offers daring combinations of different materials and different worlds. Graphic fishnet or cotton lace, a weave which evokes Vienna straw yields a style with essential volumes of sartorial structure.

Un viaggio in Arabia sulle note di Amy Winehouse.
E’ l’Arabia vista con gli occhi di un romantico viaggiatore di inizio secolo abbagliato da colori e profumi inediti, il sottofondo della collezione Roccobarocco, sopratutto quella della natura che va dal misterioso deserto del Tuareg ai mutevoli fondali dell’Oceano Indiano.

Amy Winehouse’s music in a voyage through Arabia.
The background for this Roccobarocco collection is Arabia, as seen through the eyes of a romantic 19th century traveller dazzled by new colours and scents, but more importanly by its nature, ranging from the mysterious Tuareg desert to the shifting shades of the Indian Ocean.

Angelo Marani, modern orientalism, collezione Primavera Estate 2012.
Ha esplorato i segreti d’Oriente con un nuovo inno alla seduzione, complici le elaborazioni di antichi pizzi macramè e valenciennes tinti nei colori pastello e laminati oro, argento e peltro, percorsi da borchie grandi e piccole che creano ricami e disegni. Maglie effetto rete in filo argento e oro, pizzi abbinati a jeans in pitone stretch laminati oro, stivaletti open toe in pitone in diverse nuance, stampe impresse su chiffon per giacche destrutturate e gonne ondeggianti plissè che ricordano i fiori che si stagliano sui blu delle maioliche.

He has explored the secrets of the Orient with a new praise to seduction, combining the elaborations of antique macramè lace and valenciennes dyed in pastels and laminated in gold, silver and pewter, all enhanced with small and large studs that create embroidery and patterns. Jumpers with a fishnet effect in both silver and gold yarn, lace applied on stretch python jeans in laminated gold, opentoed python booties in different nuance, prints on chiffon for un-structured jackets and oscillating plissè skirts that remind you of the flowers that define themseves on the blu majolicas.

RIZIERI BOUTIQUE NEW OPENING MILANO

Riccardo Rizieri ha inaugurato la sua nuova boutique di Via Ponte Vetero 23, nel cuore del quartiere artistico di Brera, a Milano. Nel corso dell’esclusivo evento il designer ha accolto amici e ospiti all’interno di uno spazio concepito come uno scrigno bianco con pavimenti resinati rosa cipria, un divano “Vogue” in edizione limitata e un tavolo vetrina, entrambi firmati Zanotta. Nella boutique troverete le nuove calzature della collezione autunno/inverno 2011-2012.

Riccardo Rizieri inaugurated his new boutique in Via Ponte Vetero 23, in the heart of the artistic district of Brera, in Milan. During the course of this exclusive event, the designer welcomed friends and guests inside an openspace designed like a treasure chest with pink coloured resin flooring, a limited edition “Vogue” sofa and a glass display table, both by designer Zanotta. In the boutique you will find the new autumn/winter 2011-2012 footwear collection.
